(This message is going out to all SLLs.  Please forward relevant information to your teachers.)

Hi all,
Only two more weeks till Winter Recess!!!  Things to note:
  1. SLL One on One report:  SLLs are asked to document all our interactions via the "One on One" report. This is to completed weekly. The information we would include on the report would relate to the following topics, below: Your weekly homework is due!  See attached form and the Schools Our Keikis Deserve flyer
Basic instructions for SLLs
  1. Speak with all your teachers by March 1, 2016 on any HSTA issues, recommendations, legislative activities, etc.   Ask if anyone would be willing to write testimonies to our legislators about educational needs.
  2. This can be done individually, in small groups or in faculty meetings.
  3. List all teachers spoken to, issues and concerns they had, recommendations for HSTA
  4. Email or fax the report form/information in to me by the end of each week.  [note:  OK to combine weeks if you forgot]
  5. As discussed at the Nov. RA, you may go back to Nov. 1st to list one on ones you have had with your teachers.
  6. Let Grabar know if you have any items to include on this One on One report.
  1. Facilities Photos:  Your HSTA State President Corey Rosenlee has requested photos of your facilities, especially shots of inadequate classrooms, restrooms, etc.  Please send me your photos as they will help us with our education bill requesting quality school facilities for all schools.
  2. School visits:  Please sign up with me for school visits and presentations to your faculty about education legislation and other contractual issues and concerns.  I will also try to see if Corey and your chapter leaders can attend some of these school visits.
  3. Wear Red for Education:  Remind your teachers to wear RED for education every Tuesday.  Have them take pictures and send to me.
  4. HSTA-R:  I have HSTA-R applications for teachers who are retiring or who have retired and want to join the organization.  The packets are in the office for pick up or I will deliver them to the schools when I am at your schools.  If you have teachers who need the info, please have them contact me.
Remember:   no RA meeting in December.  The next RA will be on January 28th at Keaau High library at 5:30pm.  We are accepting nominations for chapter offices and convention delegates at this RA.
If I do not see you, have a great winter break, be safe and enjoy the time with your family and friends.
