1. Rally Day at State Capitol on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 -- How can Waiakea Intermediate School teachers get involved to improve education?

Purpose: Ask legislators to support the SCHOOLS OUR KEIKI DESERVE EDUCATION OMNIBUS bill (SB2568) 

WIS teachers are asked TO  EMAIL, FAX, and CALL LEGISLATORS BETWEEN 3 -6 PM; this neighbor island action will be in concert with Oahu teachers who will be rallying at the State Capitol.

Email, fax, or call one of our Big Island legislators:

1. See template (below) or write your own letter.
2. State your name, school, and that you want them to support SB2568 - Schools Our Keiki Deserve Education Omnibus bill and any related legislative bills.
3. Give personal story about how this bill will improve classroom teaching and learning for the students of Hawaii. Choose one of the 10 points on the SOKD flyer to describe your story.
4. If you are not able to send your message out on Friday, Feb. 5 between 3-6 pm, please send your letter to Rae (email ryamanaka@hsta.org; fax 969-7492) and she will send for you.
5. Please ask friends and family to also participate in this lobbying action.
