THIS MESSAGE IS GOING OUT TO ALL SLLS AND EXBD MEMBERS:  Please forward this message to all your teachers

1. SOKD messaging for the Feb. 5^th rally.  Please remind your teachers to send in their messaging on Friday, Feb. 5^thbetween 3-6pm.  If they are not able to send their messages during this time period, they should send it to me bytomorrow.  NOTE:  the senate bill is SB2586 Schools Our Keiki Deserve.
2. Senator Gil Kahele’s Evening of Aloha:

• Monday, Feb. 8^th from 4-8pm.  Program to begin at 5pm.  @ Hilo Civic Auditorium
• Help needed for the following:

• Sunday, Feb.7^th from 11-noon, pick up flowers from nurseries (Flowers and greenery will be provided by Greenpoint Nursery, Floral Resources and Grayson’s Nursery).  Need people with trucks.
• Sunday, Feb. 7^th from noon to 6pm to set up and decorate the Civic:  bring string, scissors, tape and anything else you can think of to help with decorating  If you have large monster leaves, t-leaves, etc. please bring them.
• Monday, Feb. 8^th:  wear your red HSTA shirts and help with serving food, taking care of the food donations, clean up

Please let Rae know if you are able to help in any of these areas.

• Food donations of desserts, pupus, etc. will be gratefully accepted.
• Chili and rice will be served.  Others are making kalua pig and poke.
• Wear your RED HSTA shirt.  Let Rae know if you need one.
• Hilo chapter will be putting a poster board and book of messages/pictures.  Please send Rae any pictures or messages that you have by Friday!  Also, we will be hanging up any signs that were made for the Senator so please get them to Rae by Friday or bring them down to the Civic on Sunday afternoon.
